National Museum of Natural History and Science, University of Lisbon 發佈於 Mar 25, 2020 National Museum of Natural History and Science, University of Lisbon

The collection of African decapod crustaceans is part of the Crustacea collection of the Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência, Universidade de Lisboa. It comprises 1114 accessions, which correspond to about 4528 specimens of decapod crustaceans belonging to 86 families. Most of these specimens are part of a batch that was deposited in the museum between 1984 and 1990 by the former Instituto de Investigação das Pescas and Centro de Zoologia do Instituto de Investigação Científica e Tropical and comprises specimens collected in the missions promoted by the Government of Portugal to the former Portuguese territories in Africa, in the decades of 40 to 60 of the sec. XX. Data Records

The data in this 出現紀錄 resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 1,107 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Sampling was carried out in Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique and Guinea Bissau, integreted in several missions in these territories since 1945. There was not a common sampling methods for all the events. Sampling was made from oceanegraphic ships with several collecting methods or by hand on the coastal zone or in estuaries and rivers

This dataset contains data from an African Decapoda collection that includes specimens from scientific/biodiversity studies from missions carried out by the portuguese governament and the ancient portuguese territories in Africa.
Specimens were checked individually and all the data available in the catalog and data sheets for each specimen was confirmed and digitized.
