Description

The project focuses on cataloging species in Cabo Verde using preserved specimens from the animal and plant kingdoms housed in museums. The initiative aims to create a comprehensive digital database that documents the biodiversity of the archipelago, leveraging historical and contemporary collections. By analyzing morphological, genetic, and ecological data from these specimens, the project seeks to identify species, track changes in biodiversity over time, and support conservation efforts. This collaborative effort involves taxonomists, ecologists, and museum curators, and will serve as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and educators working to preserve Cabo Verde's unique ecosystems.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 818 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Versions

The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.
