Study Area Description North and West Africa

José Carlos Brito

Observations collected mostly using random sampling procedures

Study Extent Most data comes from the deserts and arid regions of North and West Africa, especially from the Sahara and Sahel ecoregions
Quality Control All data has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. In a large portions of the observations, tissue samples were collected and species identifications were confirmed by the use of molecular markers (barcoding)
