Sampling Methods

NA

Study Extent NA
Quality Control Regular quality cycles were performed on the inserted data selected at random, starting at 5% revision rate, with increased adjustments on this rate in function of the error rate.

Method step description:

  1. Data cataloguing was originally done using Specify ver 6. The insertion was supported by taxonomy lists produced at the first stage from African Plants Initiative and Plants of Angola, in order to update taxa names to accepted names. The insertion of many fields was done using controlled vocabularies whenever possible, but for determination, locality, a verbatim version of the information was also kept in the database.
