Description
The Angola colection of Vascular Plants kept at Herbarium LISU has ca. 6250 specimens (this number does not include the F. Welwitsch collection from Angola). Of the 6131 specimens in the data base, 454 are identified only to family level and 1028 to genus level. The collection includes important material collected by Capello & Ivens, Serpa Pinto, Sisenando Marques, Anchieta and J. Gossweiler.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 6,065 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

| Quality Control | Regular quality cycles were performed on the inserted data selected at random, starting at 5% revision rate, with increased adjustments on this rate in function of the error rate. |
Method step description:
- Data cataloguing was originally done using Specify ver 6. The insertion was supported by taxonomy lists produced at the first stage from African Plants Initiative and Plants of Angola, in order to update taxa names to accepted names. The insertion of many fields was done using controlled vocabularies whenever possible, but for determination, locality, a verbatim version of the information was also kept in the database.
